Andrea,
Thanks for your note! I very much assume that the Voyager Law Users
want to have time to meet at EndUser 2003, but you are the first
person
I've heard from. So, tentatively, we will accept your offer to
convene
the session. A Planning Committee member will be in touch to follow
up
soon.

Debbie,
On behalf of our Voyager Law User Group, though I do not know why our
current coordinators haven't spoken up, I am responding that the Law
Sig
will be meeting at VUGM. If one of them do not let you know that they
are going to attend and faciliate this meeting, please put me down.
Thanks,
Andrea

Dear EndUsers,
*** 2nd CALL FOR SIG (Special Interest Group) SESSION REQUESTS: READ
ON--
The following groups will ONLY have a SIG session assigned for them in
the EndUser 2003 program if I hear from a Convener/Moderator volunteer
by Friday, 22 November:
Consortia
ENCompass
Law Libraries
LinkFinder/LinkFinderPlus
others where there's enough interest? we can fit in a few more, if the
need is there!
You don't want to miss your chance to have a "birds of a feather"
discussion time together! So please don't let time get away if
there's
someone willing to step up! My apologies for the rather short
deadline
for requesting SIG sessions and volunteering to be conveners; your
help
now will be very much appreciated.
WHAT'S A SIG??
Within Endeavor and the Endeavor Users Group, SIGs are, for the most
part, not terribly formal groups, but rather serve as annual (at
least)
opportunities for people with shared interests, based on things like
job
function or library type, to spend some time together discussing
whatever topics of mutual interest they wish to bring up. A
Convener/Moderator is required to get a session slot; and we will work
with Endeavor to have an EISI representative scheduled to attend each
session.
A note re: VOYAGER MODULE SIGs:
In the first call I overlooked that it is generally expected that the
Chair of the associated Voyager Enhancement Sub-Committee will convene
these SIGs; there is no need to contact me at this time (but thank you
to those who did already!). Sessions will definitely be scheduled for
the following Voyager module SIGs:
OPAC; Circulation/Reserves; Cataloging; SysAdmin; Acquisitions;
Serials; Technical; ILL; ImageServer; Media Scheduling
