Subject: [lawvoyage] Cataloguing question

I have a cataloguing question that I hope you won't mind if I ask. If a publisher is taken over by another publisher, does the catalogue record stay the same, with the original publisher? My instincts say yes, that you don't change the 260, but I can't find anything in AACRII that confirms this. Can anyone confirm this? Or point me to where I might find this?

Thanks a bunch.

Bernice
