Hello everyone,
One of the topics that came up for discussion at the Voyager Law Users
Group at AALL last week was the possibility of creating a wiki for us to
use. I volunteered to check out the possibility of us posting a page (or
more) on the existing Voyager wiki, which was originally created by the
Small Libraries SIG after EndUser 2006. Though it was created by Small
Libraries, any Voyager library of any size or type is welcome to create or
edit pages there. I contacted the current site administrator for the wiki
and he confirmed we are all most welcome to create a law-related page (or
pages) on this site--you just need to go in and create an account in order
to create or edit pages. However he also let me know that the wiki may be
changing administrators and/or hosting services within the next several
months (as it's currently hosted on his personal account), so we need to
be aware that changes to the current environment may be afoot. If you
would like to take a look at the current Voyager wiki, it's at http://www.v
oyagerwiki.com/index.php?title=Main_Page and the login and password are
both "voyager."
The other option would be to create a new wiki on our own. There are
plenty of free options out there for doing this (see http://www.wikimatrix.
org/ to feel immediately overwhelmed...) I have some familiarity with
PBwiki and would be willing to set up a basic site on that service if
people were so inclined to go that route -- just let me know.
All best,
Sharon
