Setting up Complex Prediction Pattern for a weekly advance sheet
Andrea Rabbia, created 8/18/2006
1. This is weekly advance sheet published on Fridays. We need to allow for five Fridays each month - to allow for prediction based on the weekday. Therefore, we need 60 issues in the cycle (5 Fridays X 12 months).

2. Notice:
a) There are five Fridays (01:fr – 05:fr) and that the months are literals (e.g. “Jan.”) for each of the Fridays. Voyager’s internal calendar will determine if there really are five Fridays per month. You need to code it to allow for it.
b) Although we have 60 issues, we expect only 52. Therefore, issue 1’s “no.” is -51 (not -59)
c) If the advance sheet is published on another day of the week, simply alter the “fr” to the appropriate day (su, mo, tu, we, th, fr, sa) in the Day of the Month (1..31) column.

3. I named the pattern noting the day of the week as that is unalterable in the pattern.

4. Although I am starting prediction with no. 32 (Aug. 11, 2006), I need to select issue 37 as the starting issue – basically look at the fact that you are starting with the 2nd Friday in the month of August.

5. Look at how nicely the numbering restarts with issue #1 the first Friday in 2007!
